OpTic Gaming is an American eSports organization. Founded in the summer of 2006, OpTic Gaming currently fields teams in Call of Duty, Counter Strike, Halo, and Gears of War.
OpTic Gaming is one of the more storied organizations within the competitive side of the Call of Duty franchise. Established in 2006 by OpTic KR3W for the aspirations of becoming a Call of Duty sniping team, they grew to become much more than that. Only leading OpTic for a short time, KR3W stepped down and OpTic Jon3S (OpTic J) then took his place. Jon3S only led the team for a very short time span as well, and in 2007 he stepped down to then hand over the team to Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez. H3CZ ran the team for two years before uploading their first video to YouTube in 2009; they now have over 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers. Also in 2009, H3CZ established a Call of Duty competitive team that would become one of the teams with the biggest fanbases and presence in the community to ever play the game. In 2014, they launched their Halo team and in 2016, they launched a Counter Strike: Global Offensive team.
Gears of War
On August 23, 2016, OpTic Gaming announced their Gears of War team for the upcoming Pro Circuit.
